May Sew along - The Butterfly Table runner , in the hoop, machine embroidery design

Around the world, people view the butterfly as representing endurance, change, hope, and life. In these uncertain times there is no better reason to bring some of what the butterfly represents into our homes.

WHAT IS A SEW ALONG

We have been doing sew alongs in our Facebook group since late 2017 and our sew along group has now grown to over 33500 members. Of course not all members participate every month and that is fine by us. We don't mind if you just stay and admire the work that is being posted , we love if everyone participates through posting constructive and positive comments on other's work.

Every month we come up with a new design to release for the sew along. We try and make the design as inclusive and appealing to as many members as possible, remembering that not everyone has a top of the range embroidery machine nor might they possess advanced machine embroidery skills.

When the sew along starts, we will release this new Butterfly Table Runner design PLUS a discount code for it.

Everyone makes the design at their own pace and posts a photo of it the group.

Please read this article on downloading our designs https://swpea.me/2016/08/02/how-to-download-our-designs/

but what if i don't like table runners ?

That is ok :) Different people have different tastes, it would be a boring old world if we all had the same creative processes.

You can use the Butterfly blocks to make anything you like but please remember this is a Sweet Pea Machine Embroidery Designs group so no other designer's work is allowed to be shown in our groups.

how do i win prizes ?

At the beginning of the sew along we will list the prizes and the rules of the competition.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE SUPPLY LIST I NEED FOR THE BUTTERFLY TABLE RUNNER?

The fabric/supplies list is included with the design files you will get when you purchase the Butterfly Table Runner design.

BUT as these are very strange times we are living in and stores aren't open as much and we need to gather supplies in advance to allow for lengthier delivery times etc , we have decided to publish the supply list now so everyone will have an equal opportunity to participate in the May sew along.

There are 3 different butterfly blocks each with different wing markings just like the real ones :)
