One of the things that makes Sweet Pea, well, Sweet Pea, has to be our sew alongs and the communities surrounding them. We love creating designs that present a challenge, help new embroiderers get into the art, or offer a chance to get creative. So, I asked some of our team what their favourite sew alongs have been over the years:
Martyn
My pick is the Oddly Traditional Quilt as it only used our Shades of Grey fabric range and it was way out of my comfort zone trying to make a conducive finished product. Still to this day love seeing it on display.
Silvannna
The Bookshelf Quilt is my favourite because I loved seeing how everyone personalised it with the book titles, photos, and fussy cutting.
Kayden
I like the Lighthouse Scene Hanger because (much like a lighthouse) it puts the spotlight on the fabric choices to become the true focus of the project.
Christine
I love the flip and fold technique of the Flip & Fold Jumble Purse - especially in this bag! You can create so many different looks with it and this bag is super handy to have.
Nadia
The Ocean Scene Hanger is my favourite because it is a beautiful design where people can make it their own by the choice of fabrics.
Emma
My favourite sew along was the Jar Quilt. I love that there is so many possible things you can use/add to customise your jars.
Cassie
My pick is the Spring Hexagon Runner - I really liked being able to make the butterfly and bee look realistic (Monarch and Ulysses butterfly's are my favourite) and I love how versatile the bonus blocks make this runner.
Erin
I love our Keepsake Hanger. It feels like a bit of a hidden gem and I remember when it was being stitched out how excited I was to see it go live! Of course, my favourite version is the one that features all of the Sweet Pea pets (including my dog, Odin, in the bottom right!).
