Cuckoo Clock Hanger
The cuckoo clock has graced many homes across the world, but comes from humble origins in the Black Forest Region of Germany where, in the 17th or 18th century, Franz Anton Ketterer wanted to harness the sound of a cuckoo bird, as locals believed it to be good luck if you heard one in the forest.
Now, you can make your very own cuckoo clock, even with a working clock mechanism (just no cuckoo bird chirps unfortunately...). We used the High Torque Clock Movement Kit with 2 Hand Sets in one of our samples.
You can make this cuckoo clock as a hanger with three panels, assembled with borders and backing using a sewing machine, or with freestanding weights and pendulum. All instructions on how to embroider, assemble, and even add the clock mechanism are included in this project.
Designs are provided in 8 different embroidery formats. The formats included are: DST, EXP*, JEF, PEC, PES, VIP, VP3 and XXX.
*BMP and INF files are also provided, these are recommended to be used with the EXP files for Bernina machines.
SVG files are included for cutting machines. Please note the SVG format can be converted to FCM within the Brother Scan n Cut software if required. Embroidery Designs Cutting Files Disclaimer
