Be Merry Reverse Applique Cushion 5x7 6x10 7x12

This bright and cheery Be Merry Reverse Applique cushion can be made in the 5x7, 6x10 or 7x12 size hoops. This is a ITH in the hoop machine embroidery design.

What is reverse applique? Reverse applique is essentially the opposite to how we do applique normally. Rather than sewing a shape or design on top of the fabric, reverse applique is cutting the shape or design from the top fabric to reveal the fabric underneath. 

The cushion is made in two hoopings, the panels are joined in the hoop as well. The backing is attaching using a regular sewing machine and the final opening requires ~4-5" of hand stitching to seal shut.

Finished dimensions are approximately:

• 5x7 - 18cmW x 23cmH (7”x 9”)

• 6x10 - 25cmW x 30cmH (10”x 12”)

• 7x12 - 30cmW x 34cmH (12”x 13.5”)
